Description:

LabX Media Group, a global leader in science publishing and laboratory marketplace services, is seeking an experienced Director of Client Services to lead the company’s creative services teams. Reporting to senior management, you will oversee strategic planning and operations as it relates to content creation and campaign execution to ensure the department meets its objectives. If you have experience running a successful content creation team and delivering operational excellence, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the creative services (CS) teams (both content creation as well as operations/execution) across all of LMG to ensure they are delivering against client objectives and company standards.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence across all teams
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop processes and procedures that build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.Conduct regular client reviews and address any issues promptly and effectively.

    • Strategic Planning:
  • Work closely with stakeholders and CS brand managers to develop and implement strategic plans to enhance client services, drive growth, and improve client satisfaction.Ensure that CSD is integrated into the group’s overall strategic goals.


    • Business and Product Development:

    • Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients and collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support securing new business.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continually look for new product offeringsMake data-driven decisions on product performance, viability, and effectiveness


      • Financial Management:

      • Oversee the budget and financial management for CSD, including the division’s overall freelance budget.Monitor the effectiveness of service delivery against financial performance.


        • Quality and Process Improvement:

        • Implement standardized quality control processes across CSD to ensure the highest standards.
        • Regularly review and optimize client service processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
        • Look for ways to incorporate AI tools into workflows to maximize efficiency

        Educational Background:

        • Bachelor’s degree in life science or related field.

        Experience:

        • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role at a publication or agency, with a proven track record of managing teams and large client projects.

        Skills:

        • Strong leadership and people management skills.
        • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
        • Deep understanding of the scientific industry, the needs of the client and creative processes.
        • Ability to manage multiple teams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
        • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
