As this is a hybrid role, we’re looking for people within a commuting distance of our hub locations (Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester or London) and who are flexible to travel to client sites and CreateFuture regional offices. We are very flexible and trust you to manage your own schedule to balance face-to-face time with clients, colleagues and working from home.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAM:

This is a unique opportunity to work with our explore department to drive innovation, enhance our data and cloud capabilities, and contribute to the continued growth and success of CreateFuture. As Director of Cloud and Data Engineering your role will be to lead our data and cloud capabilities, playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing our data and cloud strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Lead and manage the leadership team for our Cloud and Data Engineering cCapability to ensure high performance and productivity whilst developing our Capability LeadsDeveloping and implementing cloud and data engineering strategies that align with the company’s goals and client needs
  • Shaping early-stage client engagements by ensuring we are well-positioned to deliver and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to foster trust and long-term partnerships
  • Acting as an escalation point for all of cloud and data engineering, troubleshooting operational and client-related issues
  • Collaborating closely with executive leadership and other directors across CreateFuture to ensure Data and Cloud is aligned with the rest of the business
  • Ensuring that changes are communicated effectively and efficiently across all capabilities to maintain alignment, transparency, and a cohesive work environment
  • Maximise gross margin and utilisation by optimising project planning, resource allocation, and operational efficiencies
  • Create a psychologically safe environment for your team, that enables them to grow at CreateFuture by supporting their development journey
