KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES THAT ARE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5-years’ experience in Sales leadership and strategy at an executive level; Full-service hotel setting preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of and experience leading digital strategy development and execution.
  • A degree, diploma or certification in Sales and/or Marketing or a related field, is an asset.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion with varied hours of work in alignment with client and event needs.
  • Excellent computer skills - MS Office, CRM software, and the ability to learn and implement new and customized software programs quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

As our Director of Commercial Strategy you will lead our Commercial Strategy team to represent the organization in a professional manner and ensure consistent high quality customer service is delivered to all guests and prospective clients. You will be accountable for all sales, marketing and catering sales reports, systems management, and analysis; development and execution of property brand strategies; and promotion of the property as an independent Hotel & Conference Facility. You are also responsible for developing the teams’ sales targets and mentoring the team to achieve their targets and overall goals, in partnership with the Director of Sales. As a member of the Executive Committee, you will collaborate with both corporate and local property departments to best leverage the tools available to maximize exposure and brand recognition of this independent facility.
