Notre Dame High School is the oldest private high school for young women in the Western United States. Responsibilities
The Director of Communications is responsible for developing and implementing a broad range of communications, marketing and public relations activities related to the strategic direction and market positioning of the school.
Both thought leader and project manager, the Director develops strategy and implements tactics to increase brand awareness; attracts mission-aligned applicants; raises funds; build a proud, engaged school community; publicizes and celebrates school programs and achievements; and advances Notre Dame’s identity and mission across all platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in communications and marketing, preferably in a management role
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, and develop and achieve short-term goals as well as long-range plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including impeccable grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
- Proven experience handling cross-functional projects as well as problem analysis and resolution at a strategic and tactical level
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure
- Ability to handle confidential information and situations with discretion and tact
- Commitment to Notre Dame San Jose’s mission and values
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or Public Relations preferred
