Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Director of Data Science, AI, and Data Engineering
Consulting Practice to lead our team of data scientists, AI specialists, and data
engineers. This role will focus on expanding our consulting practice and driving
transformative data solutions for clients across various industries. The ideal
candidate has a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and consulting
experience, with a proven track record of designing and implementing AI-driven
solutions that generate measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership: Define and execute the strategic vision for the Data Science,
AI, and Data Engineering consulting practice, establishing goals for revenue growth,
client satisfaction, and team development.
Client Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for senior-level clients,
providing strategic advisory on data-driven transformation, AI adoption, and data
engineering solutions to meet specific business challenges.
Solution Design & Delivery: Lead the design, development, and deployment of
scalable, AI-powered solutions and advanced analytics models, ensuring alignment
with client objectives and industry best practices.
Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of high-performing data
scientists, AI/ML engineers, and data engineers. Promote a culture of innovation,
collaboration, and continuous learning.
Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends in AI, machine learning, and
data engineering to drive innovation within the practice. Represent the organization
in conferences, webinars, and publications to strengthen brand presence.
Operational Efficiency: Develop processes, methodologies, and best practices that
enhance project delivery, operational efficiency, and the overall quality of the
consulting practice.
Revenue Growth: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify
opportunities, develop proposals, and contribute to business development efforts
that support practice growth and profitability.
Compliance & Data Governance: Ensure all solutions adhere to data privacy laws,
compliance regulations, and data governance best practices, maintaining the highest
standards of data integrity and security.

Key Qualifications
Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Machine
Learning, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years in data science, AI, or data engineering, with at least 5 years
in a consulting or client-facing leadership role.
Technical Expertise:
Advanced proficiency in machine learning, data engineering, data platfroms and AI
frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark, OpenAI).
Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, Data Modeling, Data
architecture and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka, Azure, AWS).
Knowledge of MLOps and DataOps practices and tools, ensuring smooth and
scalable deployment of models and data workflows.
Familiarity with data visualization, data catalog, data modeling and data observability
tools (e.g., dbt, fivetran, Montecarlo, Tableau, Power BI, Alation) and advanced
analytics techniques.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing cross-
functional teams, with the ability to foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal
skills, with a talent for explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-
technical audiences.
Business Acumen: Strong business and industry knowledge, with the ability to
understand client needs and translate them into impactful data-driven solutions.
Project Management: Experience managing large, complex projects from conception
to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client expectations.

Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: Relevant certifications in data science, AI, cloud platforms, or project
management (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Google Cloud Certified –
Professional Data Engineer, PMP).
Industry Knowledge: Experience in a specific industry (e.g., finance, healthcare,
retail) is a plus.
Thought Leadership: Proven track record of published work, speaking engagements,
or contributions to industry groups on data science and AI topics.
