WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The Regional Director of Development, Individual and Foundation Partnerships leads the team responsible for increasing the American Red Cross’s capacity for engaging with major donors and foundation partners throughout the GNY Region. The DOD serves as a strategist, counselor, and coach to frontline fundraisers and liaises with development operations staff, who support business planning, volunteer engagement, communications, events, and operations. The Regional Director is also a frontline fundraiser and carries a small portfolio of donors. The Director drives annual and monthly revenue planning/forecasting for the individual and foundation revenue channels. The Regional Development Director, Individual Giving and Foundation Partnerships manages a team of four philanthropy officers. This position reports to the Chief Development Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift and/or move 15 to 30 pounds.
- May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations.
- The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, and printers, light traffic).
- Ability to work in a small cubicle and the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
- Overall mobility is essential.
- It may also include driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions
