Description:
Our company provides full-service management to trade and professional associations, as well as specialized services including program development, financial management, membership oversight, and event planning. We are seeking a full-time Director of Education to oversee education and training initiatives for a growing national professional association in the medical field.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage Accreditation Processes: Working with the education liaison, oversee the ANCC accreditation and credit reporting process for continuing education credits.
- Ensure timely submission of accreditation documents to the ANCC.
- Track and record participant credit hours for all accredited educational offerings.
- Monitor compliance with accreditation standards and guidelines.
- Communicate accreditation updates and requirements to staff and members.
- Provide support for participants seeking continuing education credit verification.
Journal Coordination: Coordinate the publication of their journal (6 issues annually), collaborating with journal leaders and third-party contributors.
- Communicate with authors, editors, and reviewers to manage article submissions and deadlines.
- Coordinate with the publisher to ensure timely production and distribution.
- Oversee the content development, including peer review processes.
- Assist with identifying trending topics or emerging research for journal articles.
- Maintain relationships with the editorial board and third-party contributors.
Education Product Development: Support the Education Committee in the creation of new educational products and materials, and identify and engage subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Collaborate with SMEs to develop and update educational courses, webinars, and workshops.
- Organize meetings with the Education Committee to evaluate the need for new learning materials.
- Review and assess the effectiveness of current education products.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving educational offerings.
- Develop timelines and project plans for launching new products.
Collaboration with Affiliates: Facilitate partnerships with affiliates to further the mission of their Foundation.
- Act as the primary liaison between affiliates and the Education Committee.
- Organize joint meetings with affiliates to discuss collaborative projects.
- Monitor progress on shared initiatives to ensure they align with the foundation’s goals.
- Provide administrative support for co-sponsored events or programs.
- Identify potential new affiliates and foster relationships with them.
Executive Director Support: Assist and support the Executive Director in various capacities.
- Draft and prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for the Executive Director.
- Attend meetings on behalf of the Executive Director as needed.
- Manage special projects assigned by the Executive Director.
- Coordinate communication between the Executive Director and various stakeholders.
- Provide logistical and administrative support during conferences and events.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience – A bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years’ experience with education and training. Knowledge of medical associations preferred.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of web-based technology platforms required. High degree of organization and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional customer service attitude. Ability to manage multiple projects at once and move projects ahead efficiently in a deadline driven environment. Possess a positive team-player attitude.
Travel – travel for up to 4-5 events per year.
Job Location – This is predominantly a telecommuting position.
