Wisedocs AI, a leading company in the Information Technology and Services industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Engineering to join our dynamic team. As Director of Engineering, you will play a critical leadership role in our mission to make it easy and accessible for companies in the insurance, legal, and medical space to understand medical documents quickly using AI technology. Our cutting-edge AI technology analyzes and processes hundreds of thousands of pages of medical documents every week, saving our customers valuable time and streamlining their medical claims processing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Must possess comprehensive technical skills spanning coding, design, and architecture, along with the knowledge and readiness to actively assist the team in overcoming technical challenges as needed.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality software products in a fast-paced environment
• Deep knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• An understanding of automation practices throughout the Agile development, build, and deployment phases of the application lifecycle
• A robust problem-solving mindset; comfortable navigating frequently changing work items and scopes, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently

ROLE SUMMARY

The Director of Engineering at Wisedocs will work alongside our CTO on strategic and operational initiatives. They are ultimately responsible for the work of of the engineering team, ensuring the teams is aligned, and have what they need to do their jobs effectively, and that projects are moving along on schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage a team of talented software engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products and solutions
• Collaborate closely with the product management and data science teams to define and prioritize engineering projects that align with our business objectives
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team, identifying and implementing best practices, processes, and technologies
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of growth and professional development
• Lead architectural decisions and ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our software systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of software solutions
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and developments, actively seeking opportunities to leverage emerging technologies for business success
• Other duties as assigned
