Description:

Insight Executive Group is partnering with North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NW Anglia FT) to source an exceptional candidate for the role of Director of Estates & Facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Estates and Facilities (E&F) strategy for the Trust, ensuring safe, compliant, and future-ready buildings that support patient care and staff wellbeing. This pivotal role offers the chance to shape the Trust’s infrastructure and play a key role in strategic developments, including the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for the Trust at various levels, build strong relationships with regulatory bodies, and foster a collaborative, values-driven culture within the Estates & Facilities team and across Trust divisions.
Develop and implement the Trust’s Estates and Facilities management strategy, focusing on safety, compliance, quality, and efficiency across all sites.
Ensure that E&F services align with the Trust’s Clinical Strategy and are co-produced with staff and service users.
Provide assurance to the Trust Board that all E&F services meet statutory and mandatory legislation.
Oversee the management of the Trust’s Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, ensuring maintenance and lifecycle refurbishment are aligned with compliance standards.
Lead the sustainability agenda to achieve the Trust’s net zero goals, acting as a subject matter expert in both the Hinchingbrooke Redevelopment Programme and broader Trust projects.
Collaborate with executive teams, clinical leads, and external agencies, such as the CQC, NHSE, Environment Agency, and local authorities, to ensure the Trust meets high standards in building performance and safety.
We are dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusivity within our workforce and warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, with a particular emphasis on encouraging those from disabled, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, as well as candidates from our local area.
As part of our commitment to supporting our employees we offer a range of benefits including:
