Casino M8trix is looking for a Director of Human Resources (HR) with outstanding people skills to join our diverse team and exciting environment to manage our personnel and ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned with overall business objectives.
Candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the HR department and carry out responsibilities in all functional HR areas including recruiting, benefits, organizational development, leave management, and employee relations. Candidate must be capable of operating with independent, mindful judgment in this position, while developing policy, directing and coordinating all HR activities, such as compensation, employee retention and relations, performance management, legal compliance, and employee services by performing the duties personally or through other personnel and supervisors. The HR Director will supervise a team of two to three HR professionals in conjunction with the company’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • Be 21 years of age or over.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully pass an in-depth background check.
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, or equivalent of education and experience in the Human Resources function.

TALENT SELECTION AND ONBOARDING:

  • Oversees recruiting, interviewing and candidate selection, as well as the onboarding and orientation of new employees.
  • Assist management in various projects such as job descriptions, performance evaluations, compensation issues, etc.
  • Oversee the job posting process for effectiveness and legal adherence.
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s culture and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Develop and lead orientation and onboarding sessions for new hires.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD OUR HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM AS HR DIRECTOR, YOU SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

  • Sound knowledge of HR practices and employment law.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and various legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from various levels of staff, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
  • Demonstrated optimism and relentless problem-solving, with a strong sense of empathy.
  • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills along with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence in interactions, negotiations, and communications.
  • Ability to work under pressure while exercising good judgment and handling conflict and uncomfortable situations with peers, and direct reports with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to write and present speeches, and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to present information to top management, public groups, and/or Board of Directors.
  • Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems as well as deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must possess a great deal of tact and above average communication skills.
  • Must have knowledge of HRIS and payroll interfaces.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Team, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to adhere to and maintain strict confidentiality standards.
  • Bi-lingual – while not a requirement, this is a definite plus! Our employees speak a wide variety of languages, such as Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Tagalog, and more.
