Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent at Huda Beauty, the Learning & Development Director will spearhead the creation and implementation of a robust L&D department and framework. This includes designing comprehensive talent development strategies, conducting thorough learning needs analysis, and integrating psychometric testing to optimize individual and organizational performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic roadmap and implementation plan for establishing the L&D department.
  • Establish efficient processes, systems and governance frameworks to manage L&D initiative effectively.
  • Conduct comprehensive talent assessments and learning needs analysis to identify skills gaps and development priorities.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive learning strategy aligned with business goals and individual career development plans.
  • Integrate best practices in adult learning principles and assessment tools, including psychometric testing, and competency frameworks, to inform talent development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Create and deliver a range of learning initiatives including leadership development, technical training, and soft skills workshops.
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and external consultants to develop engaging learning content that meet diverse learning needs.
  • Ensure learning programs are engaging, relevant, accessible and scalable, to meet the needs of a diverse workforce across different departments and geographies.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of L&D programs.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and gather feedback to continuously improve learning experiences and outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations and best practices in learning technologies and methodologies to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Build strong partnerships with department heads and senior leaders to align L&D initiatives with business objectives.
  • Champion a learning mindset across the organization, promoting a culture of continuous development and knowledge sharing.
  • Implement and manage learning management systems (LMS) and other technologies to streamline and enhance the learning experience.
  • Develop and oversee mentorship and coaching programs to support employee development and career growth.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the company’s values and contribute positively to the organizational culture.
  • Oversee the creation and management of Personal Development Plans (PDPs) for employees, ensuring alignment with career development goals and business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience of 10+ years in designing and implementing L&D strategies within a fast-paced and evolving organization, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of psychometric testing, competency frameworks, and adult learning principles.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Master’s degree in organizational development, Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
