Description:

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with substantial experience in a senior legal role at a strategic level and able to demonstrate significant PQE
  • A track record of motivational and creative leadership with the ability to engage with, and motivate, staff and other stakeholders at all levels
  • High level of experience in commercial law, contract drafting and negotiation
  • A good understanding of higher education within the UK, including how the Office for Students regulates higher education within England
  • A detailed understanding of governance and best practice in corporate and academic governance
  • Experience of ensuring compliance with complex and dynamic legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Experience of providing legal advice and case management of legal cases (contentious or non-contentious)
  • Experience of international contracts and partnerships
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and present data, draw conclusions, and provide actionable recommendations, supporting evidence-based decision making
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making and analytical skills with the capability to effectively problem solve in complex and dynamic situations
