Description:

Join our dynamic team as the Director of Legal Compliance and Risk Management, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our legal compliance strategies within the consumer electronics and communication products industry. As a seasoned legal professional, you will lead efforts to develop and implement robust compliance policies and procedures, assess risks inherent in our operations, and provide counsel on legal compliance matters. You will oversee consumer protection compliance, manage crises and disputes, and engage with internal stakeholders, and legal organizations to ensure alignment with company goals and industry standards. EDUCATION AND LEGAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in California.
  • Specialization in compliance, consumer protection law, or dispute resolution would be beneficial.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 6-8 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on compliance, consumer protection, and dispute resolution.
  • Prior experience in e-commerce, product liability, consumer protection law and civil litigation would be highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs, managing crises, and handling dispute resolution.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape specific to consumer electronics, including standards such as FCC regulations for electronic devices and consumer protection laws relevant to electronic and communication products.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry or familiarity with E-Commerce digital platforms and technology-driven business models.
  • Ability to adapt to the rapidly changing landscape of consumer electronics and communication products, including emerging technologies and regulatory changes.
  • Innovative thinking to develop proactive strategies for compliance and risk management in a dynamic industry environment.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC sales and 5 years in HVAC team or territory management.
  • Experience managing HVAC product sales at a regional level.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented while keeping the big picture in mind.
  • Highly self-motivated with a positive attitude, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm for sales and growth.
  • Ambition to grow and take on new assignments/skills as needed.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to the changing marketplace.
  • Positive sales-oriented personality.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage productivity goals and quality standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must live within a reasonable distance to a major airport

Responsibilities:

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Implement sales plans to ensure the achievement of objectives and sales targets.
  • Manage sales functions and outputs to maximize effectiveness and achieve regional and corporate sales objectives.
  • Achieve regional sales budgets and goals in the US Region.
  • Build relationships and communicate regularly with the corporate office.
  • Ensure ongoing product training for TCL sales personnel, sales outlets/distributors, and sales agency staff.
  • Monitor and analyze field sales reports, interpret results, and take corrective actions to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop new business opportunities in residential and commercial markets, leveraging the HVAC wholesale channel.
  • Lead, direct, and manage manufacturer’s representatives in alignment with regional strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with distributors and sales outlets.
  • Promote the product portfolio at various trade shows.
  • Resolve customer complaints and assist technical service with problem resolution.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection of manufacturer’s representative agencies.
  • Embrace and support growing business demands in a dynamic environment.
  • Participate in various local marketing projects and provide suggestions as requested.
  • Expect up to 45% domestic travel.
