Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobility Group Director to help implement our strategic plan for the region and to support the management of the Ottawa mobility team. This position will support the continuing development and growth of CIMA+’s Transportation Engineering business. In this role, you will provide regional geographic oversight to promote growth for the Ottawa region’s mobility and transportation services to support the corporate strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
  • 15+ years of consulting engineering experience on transportation projects with strong knowledge of the mobility sector.
  • Previous experience managing a technical team. Experience with P&L responsibilities.
  • Key connections in the Ottawa region and previous business development experience.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision, business acumen.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Responsibilities:

  • Major involvement in business development, including identifying and pursuing new clients and markets and proposal development.
  • Participate in strategic planning and client management. Responsible for business intelligence on upcoming opportunities in the Ottawa region.
  • Key role in growing the Mobility group in Ottawa: Attracting and leading a multidisciplinary team for traffic engineering, policy development, road safety, big data analytics, transportation planning, preliminary and detailed design, and illumination and signal design for federal, provincial, and municipal clients in accordance with the latest standards and guidelines.
  • Engage with other CIMA+ business lines to identify and pursue multidisciplinary business opportunities, including green transition, EV, transit, building, municipal, land development and other disciplines, including identifying and leading strategic development initiatives for local and regional clients and objectives.
  • Support Project Managers in delivery and change management for key clients.
  • In the short term, provide technical assistance with the existing projects in Ontario and Western Canada.
