Position Overview
Are you passionate about shaping the future of workplace technology? At St. Jude, we’re seeking a dynamic Director of Modern Work Services to revolutionize our technology landscape. In this pivotal role within our Information Services Department, you’ll spearhead the transformation of our device endpoint administration, SaaS applications, and collaboration infrastructure.
As the leader of Endpoint Modernization, you’ll harness cutting-edge cloud-based tools to deliver sleek, standardized endpoints across diverse operating systems, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience. Your expertise will drive the full lifecycle of Mobile Device Management, Device Provisioning, Generative AI Enablement, Endpoint Patch Management, from strategic planning through to flawless execution.
You’ll also oversee the technical configuration and operational management of our collaboration systems, ensuring top-notch service in meeting support, instant messaging, video conferencing, meeting room technology and end user productivity tools. By promoting and implementing innovative collaboration and endpoint management solutions, you’ll champion the adoption of modern work practices and help our team excel in a forward-thinking environment.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or related field of study required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in an IT functional area including experience leading mid-large teams with focus on both achievement of objectives as well as critical skill-building.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies such as Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Purview is preferred.
  • Experience having led large-scale projects/processes through to implementation.
  • Experience with operational management, budget planning & vendors, and resource management.
  • Prior experience in building external connections with peers, emerging technology communities, and vendor networks.
  • Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large/critical complex IT areas/teams within own department.
  • Propose innovative & differentiating IT capabilities within own technology/process area to business teams and oversee implementation and adoption.
  • Define operational plan and oversee development and execution in line with IT objectives.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and resources to ensure work is delivered in accordance with business needs and established quality standards while eliminating risks.
  • Collaborate with key leaders in internal functions and partner/vendor organizations to optimize organizational outcomes.
  • Lead systems for governance, monitoring, review, and control of processes and functions performed by the department.
  • Provide input into overall budget and variance management for departmental initiatives.
  • Actively drive processes for team management in terms of goalsetting, performance, development, and engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
