Description:

Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading Technology, Finance, and Healthcare staffing/recruiting and HR/DEI consulting firm partnering with outstanding clients within the private industry and public sector. Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in the aerospace/defense industry in Camden, NJ in search of a highly talented Director of Operations Management.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Operations Management will lead the development and implementation of production activities to meet goals for quality, cost, and output. This role directs multiple operational areas, manages experienced professionals, and influences senior leadership on strategic matters. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence in a defense manufacturing environment, with a focus on innovation and best practices.

I. EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • Graduate Degree (preferred)

II. EXPERIENCE:

  • 15+ years of Director-level experience in a production environment with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 13+ years of Director-level experience in a production environment with a Graduate Degree
  • 19+ years of Director-level experience in a production environment in lieu of a degree

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Extensive experience in manufacturing/production within a DoD environment (required)
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Advanced business knowledge across multiple professional disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing (preferred)
  • Familiarity with US Navy programs (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead one or more departments in a production environment
  • Establish direction for new processes, systems, and solutions
  • Develop and implement operational strategies and plans
  • Manage budgets and control capital expenditures
  • Oversee activities such as manufacturing, production planning, engineering, quality, and logistics
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on strategic matters
  • Drive innovation and problem-solving in complex operational scenarios
  • Ensure high-quality products and services at competitive prices
  • Analyze and interpret technical, legal, and financial documents
  • Motivate and develop team members
