TMA Systems is a leading provider of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) solutions. The TMA team is located throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia. We are seeking an experienced People / HR leader to join our dynamic team and drive the growth and success of WebTMA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director of People will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support TMA’s growth, the professional growth of our staff, the attraction and retention of top talent, as well as other ad-hoc projects. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of People will be a part of the senior leadership team and will play an integral, hands-on role in ensuring the organization meets its financial, strategic and operational objectives. This role may require some travel (2-4 times per year).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in HR.
  • SHRM-CP or equivalent required, SHRM-SCP or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with payroll administration, including multi-jurisdictional payroll tax registration and compliance. Experience with ADP or equivalent.
  • High level of experience and knowledge of benefits and leave administration, including medical, 401k, PFL / FMLA
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations with a focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Experience with international/cross-border remote workforce consisting of both fully employed contractor staff, particularly in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
  • HR legal knowledge or experience.
  • Familiarity with and experience leveraging both in-house and outsourced HR functions (EoRs, contractors).
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, organizational development, and talent management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfort and willingness to execute directly as a player-coach.
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS business model and operations is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to align HR initiatives with the company’s strategic goals, objectives and needs.
  • Serve as the company’s leader and subject matter expert in topics pertaining but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR administration, compliance, employee relations, policy development, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and culture.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant and future employment laws and regulations in all our jurisdictions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Own payroll in collaboration with Finance and oversee HR administration.
  • Support M&A execution and lead acquisition integration for all People and HR-related matters.
  • Maintain a global perspective to help ensure TMA can scale successfully into new geographies.
  • Foster a positive work culture that emphasizes teamwork, alignment and innovation within a fully remote environment.
  • Manage, mentor and guide the Senior Manager of HR by fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and drive consistent improvement
