REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong focus on Solar, Wind, and BESS.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in financial modelling, risk assessment, and securing project financing.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK regulatory landscape and experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
- A degree in a related field is preferred

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Together we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Project Development to lead the project development team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end development of renewable energy projects, from site identification through to securing consents, financial close, and handover to the construction team. You will lead a team of 10 full-time employees, ensuring the successful delivery of our ambitious project pipeline.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a team of 10 FTEs, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, including Solar, Wind, and BESS.
- Develop and implement strategies to accelerate project timelines and optimise development processes.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including landowners, local authorities, regulatory bodies, and investors.
- Lead the preparation and negotiation of commercial agreements, including PPAs, grid connection agreements, and land leases.
- Conduct financial modelling and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project handover and execution.
