Mindgruve Macarta is seeking a Director of Project Management with a proven track record of leading project and program managers at a major ad or digital agency. This role is important in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork, developing collaborative relationships across organizational levels, and being highly adaptable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing teams leading multiple digital and traditional initiatives and will own accountability for delivery of creative, integrated marketing, and development programs and projects.
The Director of Project Management will promote best practices in project and program management, ensuring the team of project managers deliver projects on time, on budget and on quality. The Director will define and optimize processes to drive efficient workflows within teams.

WE NEED A PERSON WITH:

  • 10+ years experience managing large projects at a marketing agency
  • 5+ years people leadership and management skills, including direct experience leading, managing, and mentoring teams of project and program managers
  • Experience in creating and optimizing processes for project management and cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex creative and technology programs on scope, on time, on budget, on quality and an ability to train/coach others on these skills
  • Strong ability to create estimates and ability to train others on these skills
  • Deep understanding of creative and strategic process, campaign and communications planning, web development life cycles, SEO, social media, email marketing and online campaigns
  • Experience working in agencies with media planning, buying and performance marketing including analytics and reporting
  • Capable of gaining support for initiatives through influence and use of business rationale
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, team building and relationship management skills
  • Meticulous organization skills
  • Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Impeccable documentation and admin skills
  • Experience of Workamajig, Asana or other project management platforms, Google Suite, Figma, Hubspot
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Preferred certifications: PMP, CSM, Scaled Agile
    Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Project Managers and Program Managers, providing strong leadership, training and guidance on delivery excellence
  • Uphold team commitment to project management standards across all initiatives, ensuring consistency in tools usage, adherence to timelines and budgets, defining milestones and dependencies, creating risk strategies, solutioning and reporting.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the project management team
  • Works closely with VP, Client Experience on balance of Account staffing between AM and PM based on project needs and work streams within each account
  • Work closely with VP, Client Experience to establish a center of excellence for Client Experience and drive departmental efficiency
  • Works closely with Operations to establish and adhere to processes and best practices between project managers and traffic managers to support resourcing needs
  • Provide regular updates (written and verbal) to stakeholders and management, preparing presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries as needed
  • Assist in writing scopes, supplying and reviewing scope language as needed
  • Set performance goals and provide career development opportunities
  • Keep informed of the latest digital marketing trends and technologies to ensure the agency’s project management practices remain relevant
  • Ensure adherence to humility, curiosity, absolute ownership, and client advocacy
