Description:

The Director of Procurement has the global responsibility to provide leadership and direction for all procurement activities related to Direct Materials across all plants and Business Units.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing enterprise-wide leadership and direction for direct commodity procurement that includes plastic resin and components.
- Responsible for leading a team of procurement professionals.
- Leads the development of commodity specific strategies partnering with product engineering and program management teams specifically focused on cost, supplier and contract management.
- Establishes commodity specific KPIs and performance metrics and measures performance consistent with business needs.
- Leads supplier evaluation and procurement contract negotiations for timely execution of programs.
Experience Required:
- University Degree in Business or Engineering.
- Must have minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and managing a procurement team within OEM/Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing operations is key to success in this role.
- Must have good understanding of automotive program launch process, ideally advance procurement and supporting program launches.
- Prior experience working in a multi-site operations/manufacturing setting highly desirable.
