Description:
We are in search of a Director of Revenue to join a team in the financial services industry, based in Portland, Maine. In this role, you will be tasked with leading revenue operations, crafting revenue recognition policies, managing and improving billing systems, and overseeing a team. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement revenue recognition policies in compliance with USGAAP
- Conduct in-depth analysis and assessments to enhance operational efficiency
- Manage and optimize billing systems to ensure seamless revenue flow
- Oversee the revenue close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Apply technical accounting knowledge to complex financial transactions
- Utilize Accounting Software Systems and tools such as NetSuite for efficient financial management
- Leverage your CPA and SAAS experience to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Contribute to budget processes and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
- Ensure adherence to revenue recognition principles, standards, and laws.
- Must have a deep understanding and proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Demonstrated experience in managing Accounting Functions
- Proven ability in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proficiency in managing Billing Functions
- Familiarity with Budget Processes is essential
- Must be proficient in the use of NetSuite
- CPA certification is required
- Must have a clear understanding of Revenue Recognition processes
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is a must
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
