Director of Revenue | Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah
The Director of Revenue is responsible for maximizing revenue and market share for the hotel through strategic pricing, inventory management, and revenue forecasting. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments, including sales, marketing, and operations.

Specifically, as Director of Revenue, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Develop and implement revenue management strategies that optimize pricing, occupancy, and revenue per available room (RevPAR).
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and competitive positioning to inform pricing strategies.
  • Prepare and manage accurate revenue forecasts and budgets, adjusting strategies based on performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure alignment on revenue projections.
  • Manage room inventory across all distribution channels to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels based on demand and market conditions.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies that align with revenue goals.
  • Partner with the Front Office and Reservations teams to ensure effective communication of pricing and availability strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue generation, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct regular reviews of pricing strategies and inventory controls to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Leverage revenue management systems and tools to analyze data and drive decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements in revenue management.
  • Train and mentor the team members on revenue strategies and systems.
  • Foster a culture of revenue awareness throughout the organization.
  • Manage Team Members performance in compliance with company policies and procedure.
  • Recruit, manage, train and develop the Revenue Team

The Director of Revenue serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Revenue Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a luxury hotel environment, with a focus on revenue management and reservations.
  • Knowledge of local market
  • Proficiency in revenue management systems (e.g., Opera, SynXis, IDeaS) and Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of online distribution channels and revenue management best practices.
