As our Director of Safer Gambling, reporting to the Group Manager Safer Gambling, you will develop, implement and maintain the Safer Gambling strategy and related programmes that ensure the operations of The Star be conducted in accordance with The Star’s PVP and requirements prescribed by law or regulation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to provide leadership, direction and management to the Property Line 1 Safer Gambling team in areas of both Team Member and guest experience and welfare, people management, risk assessment and all regulatory and legal compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and implement Safer Gambling programmes to maximise risk identification and harm minimisation and monitor the quality and effectiveness of programmes to ensure compliance with standards, policy and applicable laws, codes and regulations.
  • Manage and develop team engagement, reward and recognition, performance and development including coaching and mentoring, and managing employee wellbeing and relations, conflict, unsatisfactory performance and disciplinary processes as appropriate for Safer Gambling operations.
  • Comply with all Federal and State statutory requirements, company policy and procedures within the work environment.
  • Comply with The Star Entertainment Group Code of Conduct, all internal policies and procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development of the property Safer Gambling programme budget and manage and report on it regularly.
