Purpose
As the Director of Sales, you will be well versed within the local market, and responsible for driving revenue expansion, elevating brand visibility, and optimising overall performance and profitability of the property.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build strategic sales strategies, working closely with the General Manager to successfully fulfil overall business objectives
  • Actively sell all attributes of the property including Accommodation, Conferencing & Events and Dining facilities.
  • Review weekly forecasts and market share reports and actively participate in ensuring business levels and market share is maintained
  • Act as primary point of contact for the hotel including the coordination and leadership of site inspections to assist conversion
  • Create and foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that provide accurate data and robust support for critical financial objectives

Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of the local and surrounding markets, highly desirable
  • Recent experience as a Business Development Manager within a hotel environment, highly regarded
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies and initiatives
  • Exceptional negotiation skills to secure profitable deals and partnerships
  • A knack for boosting conversion rates, translating leads into successful bookings and maximising sales opportunities
  • Unwavering commitment to a customer-focused approach, ensuring exceptional client experiences and maintaining strong client relationships
