What will be your daily pursuit?:
Please note this a Matt leave cover position and will be a contract going until March 1st 2025
This is a senior management role reporting to the VP, Sales for Pursuit. We are seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to oversee our FlyOver properties globally. This role involves significant responsibility in driving revenue growth, building a diverse sales team, and collaborating with key stakeholders to create unforgettable travel experiences.
Compensation:
Annualized Salary of 80,000 - to 105,000 This will be a contract person running until March 1 2025

What will you do in this job?:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed annual revenue targets for FOA.
  • Team Management: build and implement long term strategy of optimal global team size and growth
  • Collaboration: Work with operations, marketing, revenue maximization, and sales teams to build experiences and programs that drive revenue.
  • Client Relationships: Create and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders, including global travel trade partners and local destination marketing organizations.
  • Market Analysis: Understand competitive sales landscapes, market trends, and implement data-driven forecasting strategies.
  • Sales Operations: Utilize Salesforce (CRM) for managing, tracking, and reporting sales activities. Ensure appropriate performance measurements are in place.
  • New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities including events, travel trade, and other revenue growth initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: Attend industry events, conduct familiarization tours, and represent FlyOver in national and international tourism forums

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Minimum 5 years of broad-based sales management experience with a track record of success.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales/work experience.
  • Experience in Travel Trade sales management and event sales.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools and MS Office applications.
  • Experience working in a Shared Service/Matrix organization an asset
  • Functional knowledge and ability using MS Office tools (eg: Teams, Excel, Word, PPT) required
  • Strong commitment to working as a team
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships

  • Ability to grow, adapt and change as needed to meet the needs of the business

This role is based in Calgary, Banff, or Vancouver, with the ability to travel globally.
