Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Fortune Media is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to join our management of advertising sales efforts. This team member will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, managing key client relationships, and overseeing the performance of a sales team. Additionally, this role will manage agency coverage and relations, ensuring strong partnerships and maximizing advertising opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the media landscape, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in advertising sales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in advertising sales, with at least 5 years in a team leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the media industry.
  • Strong network of contacts within the advertising and media industry.
  • Experience in managing agency relations and coverage.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop innovative sales solutions.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
    Total Compensation Range (base salary & bonus) : $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 OTE

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, advertising agencies, and industry partners.
  • Manage agency coverage and relations, ensuring strong partnerships and maximizing advertising opportunities.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, editorial, and product development, to create compelling advertising solutions that meet client needs.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
