Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Director of Sales and Marketing for our luxury lifestyle hotel in Chicago will spearhead the strategic sales and marketing initiatives, enhancing the hotel’s brand presence and driving revenue growth. This leadership role manages a dynamic team of four and collaborates closely with the Director of Revenue Management and the General Manager to optimize performance and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities to include some and/or all the following:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the hotel’s goals and target market, enhancing brand positioning within the luxury sector.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales and marketing team of four, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Work closely with the Director of Revenue Management to analyze market trends, adjust pricing strategies, and optimize revenue generation opportunities.
  • Prepare and present weekly reports to our LOTTE headquarters in Korea, detailing sales performance, marketing initiatives, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with Perilla Steakhouse for banquet events and group functions, ensuring seamless execution and a high-quality guest experience.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive positioning to inform strategic decisions.
  • Oversee all branding and promotional activities, ensuring consistency across all platforms and enhancing the hotel’s luxury image.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, tourism boards, and community organizations to drive group sales and event bookings.
  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in sales and marketing, preferably in the luxury hotel or hospitality sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing successful teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools to inform strategic decisions.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for luxury hospitality and customer service excellence.
