Description:

The Director of Strategic Partnerships is a key position in establishing partnerships and relationships in the community that support and further the goals of the Agency with regard to its Mission and Vision, through a variety of program services and opportunities. This position also supports and champions organizational growth as an inclusive organization reflective of the community in composition and program delivery.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree; graduate level coursework desirable plus seven or more years of related work experience.
  • Prior work experience with developing community or governmental/tribal partnerships is required.
  • Prior experience as a member of a Board of Directors is preferred.
  • Direct experience with issues related to marginalized/historically marginalized communities is required.
  • An alternate combination of education and experience may be acceptable to meet minimum qualifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Competencies in areas of anti-poverty work, social and racial justice, diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong analytical skills and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well effective public speaking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, and maintain reliable, consistent attendance.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Intermediate skills working with personal computers, MS and/or Google software, video conferencing, and databases.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

  • Participate on Agency Strategic Planning Team with management and Board members.
  • Meet with Agency stakeholders in Oregon and understand the needs in communities that require resources and services.
  • Identify current partnerships that are key to the delivery of services to people in poverty and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Identify organizations to increase collaboration, especially culturally specific organizations such as Tribes within Marion, Polk, and Yamhill Counties, Mano a Mano, PCUN, and Urban League, and other culturally specific agencies and initiatives.
  • Develop plans with specific goals pertaining to current and new partnerships to ensure effective delivery of services to those that need them.
  • Work with state, county, and municipal governmental representatives to develop resources and services to support communities with needs.
  • Participate in public forums, committees and events that pertain to anti-poverty work. Provide opportunities to support client testimonials.
  • Work with local educational institutions and districts to identify where service delivery is needed.
  • Maintain library of relationship management tracking data to sustain partnerships over time.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to participate in video conference meetings and phone calls.
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Frequently required to lift 10 pounds during routine travel.
  • Generally proceeds independently to perform work in accordance with Agency policies, guidelines, and initiatives.
  • Mobility within the office and between agency sites required.
  • Ability to travel by plane as required to the location that is necessary to perform and complete job duties.
  • Able to remain calm and focused during unusual or escalated situations.
