Responsibilities:

  • Lead Technology group consisting of 12+ full time Team Members and various 3rd party support vendors.
  • Annual and 3 year plan technology roadmap – In coordination with the CFO, CEO and Exec Team develop and maintain an annual technology roadmap to identify key projects (with associated timelines, costs and KPIs of success) as well as risk management and maintenance processes/initiatives to provide a functioning stable suite of technology support tools and teams/processes.
  • Include a focus on next level Omni Channel business strategy support via evolution of CRM/Loyalty/Cross Channel selling and marketing capabilities.
  • Leverage recently deployed Shopify ecosystem for next level of growth in Canada and US and beyond.
  • Develop technology roadmap to support US growth plan including close partnership in synch with DC network evolution.
  • Identify key risks to stability and/or ability to achieve Strategic plans (both in year and longer term 3 year plan related). Develop potential solutions in advance to foster a clear-sighted plan that anticipates well investments required in people and change management.
  • Core Enterprise Applications – Responsible for the functioning, support and troubleshooting of these applications as well as bringing a relevant roadmap for possible upgrades/changes (both internal initiated and vendor initiated) tied to our core Strategic plans that are updated on a regular basis.
  • Desktop and software support for Store teams and Corporate teams – put in place effective team to maintain quality support that meets certain KPI bench marks agreed upon with the CFO and the broader business including both hardware maintenance and investment and software services.
  • Develop and manage budgets in close collaboration with finance dept.
  • Ensure a robust Retail, Ecomm and Omni channel support plan is put in place and identify gaps, risk areas and full scope of investments to achieve plans. Offer trade-offs to the business as necessary.
  • Ensure key support functions of Supply Chain/Ops/Finance/Accounting are supported via a strong functioning team and vendor relationship management.
  • Establish and execute against policies, procedures for good data, security and overall system integrity on core critical systems. Serve as lead and ultimate technology leader in escalation as necessary to CFO and/or Executive Team.
  • Ensure support on integrating analytical solutions such as BI and Shopify integrations with Enterprise software (Microsoft AX) and maintenance is supported.
