Description:

The Director of the Early College Academy (ECA) manages the daily operations and activities involved with the delivery of all dual credit/dual enrollment programs and serves as the liaison between academic departments and other external entities serviced by Missouri Western. The Director leads the selection and scheduling of dual credit, dual enrollment, and other collaborative modalities for delivering pathways to matriculation at the University. The Director will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for select outreach programs to expand services and grow enrollment.
Supervision: Early College Academy Coordinator

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of experience in K-12 education or higher education setting coordinating dual credit/enrollment
  • Valid Driver’s License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or above
  • 3 years of experience managing complex systems or organizations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with/familiarity with assessment and accrediting bodies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • An understanding of high school college credit programs as it relates to curriculum, registration/enrollment, and billing procedures
  • An understanding of high school and university cultures as it relates to marketing and multiple audiences
  • Strong customer service skills, ability to speak and present to large groups, dynamic personality
  • Strong and versatile computer skills and management of multiple platforms
  • Familiarity with NACEP accreditation standards as it relates to coordinating professional development
  • Familiarity with program and unit assessment as it relates to student learning outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill

Responsibilities:

  • Directs and plans the Early College Academy (ECA) daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Build relationships with strategic partners and community-based organizations to recruit, enroll and sustain long term alliances.
  • Oversees the operations and activities, program and course delivery with high school partners, including arrangement for course monitors, instructors, and liaisons each semester, establish and process semester course schedules, offerings, and enrollments within Ellucian Banner and Slate (CRM)
  • Develops and tracks annual benchmark goals that include enrollment, retention, program and partnership goals.
  • Create innovative opportunities to increase enrollment, expand offerings and services, build networks, and penetrate the Missouri Western brand beyond the northwest Missouri region
  • Comply with state regulatory body requirements and develop annual reports for administration and other governing agencies
  • Manage department budget allocations and resources
  • Supports faculty coordinators and instructors, including oversight of the course evaluations for all dual credit and dual enrollment faculty
  • Assess, evaluate, and adjust programmatic offerings according to relevant survey data.
  • Review policies, procedures, and other governing documents to ensure the smooth functioning of the ECA.
  • Regularly communicate and market opportunities to students, parents, high school faculty and staff, and University faculty and staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
