Director Oncology Services and Outpatient Infusion

JOB OVERVIEW:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Director of Oncology for RWJ Somerset Medical Center.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master s preferred
• Current New Jersey RN Licensure
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification through Oncological Nurses Society required
• OCN preferred
• BLS required. (American Heart Association)
• A minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience in an acute care setting is required

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full Time 40 hours per week

• In collaboration with the AVP of Oncology Services, the clinical director of oncology is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating the management of clinical practice activities within Steeplechase Cancer Center, including direct oversight of Infusion center, Clinic RNs, nurse navigation, and social workers for Steeplechase Cancer Center.
• Staff includes RN’s, CNA’s & Unit Secretaries.
• Director will manage the staffing, budget & quality measures of Oncology center
• An integral part of the Nursing Leadership Team at RWJ Somerset
• Responsibility for multiple teams who support daily essential patient care
• This individual is responsible to have 24/7 responsibility, recruit and manage multiple teams and improve quality and customer satisfaction,
