REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in sales and management function in MICE sales.
- Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Fluent Mandarin is welcomed, to support our clients based throughout the APAC region.
- Proven success in sales and product development.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Experience in change and transition management, and leadership.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Strategic thinker, creative, and sales-driven with strong business acumen.
- Must have the flexibility to work mid-night shifts, weekends, and public holidays to support the business, if required.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Sales & Business Development Director to join the team. The role will lead and drive online and MICE sales strategies, business development, and revenue growth through direct sales, partnerships, and market expansion. Responsible for sales forecasting, budgeting, client engagement, team leadership, and optimizing contracting processes to enhance Suntec’s market presence.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop and deliver online and MICE sales strategies, ensuring revenue targets are achieved.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities and leads
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, associations, MICE organizers, and corporate clients.
- Lead the transition of the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and negotiations to contracting and event planning, online
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitor strategies.
- Represent Suntec at trade shows, networking events, and sales trips, both locally and internationally.
- Manage revenue budgeting, sales forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the online sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving professional growth.
- Ensure seamless coordination with internal departments to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Lead product and services development, and implementation.
- Drive commercial projects by identifying revenue opportunities, building partnerships, and ensuring successful alignment with business goals.
