The opportunity…
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Organizational Development to guide sustainable and effective development of programs, aiming for continued growth and development of organizational performance throughout the Yukon public service.
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, People & Culture Division, you will be responsible for developing strategies, and implementing learning and development programs, services, and plans that align with the Public Service Commission’s and Government of Yukon’s priorities. You will also help increase efficiency, productivity, leadership (including Character-Based Leadership), and performance across all Yukon Government’s departments.
The position provides corporate vision, strategic direction, and expert advice in the areas of corporate training and development, organizational change and development, conflict management services and organizational effectiveness. This position is a key member of the Public Service Commission senior management team and will participate in developing and implementing departmental and corporate human resources policies and programs for the Government of Yukon.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet each of the following qualification. Please note, selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
A degree in human resources, education (with a focus on organizational development), public administration, humanities, social sciences, or a related field.
Executive level experience in the public sector providing corporate oversight and direction in the implementation and execution of complex programs, policies, and frameworks.
Executive level experience managing human and financial resources and leading and coaching multi-disciplinary teams.
Considerable experience providing strategic advice to senior leadership.
Executive level experience developing and fostering trusting relationships with central agencies and departments clients and colleagues.
Experience leading projects, leading change management and collaborating with clients and external service providers.
Post-secondary training in organizational psychology or organizational development, alternative dispute resolution, conflict resolution, mediation, coaching and/or human resources would be an asset.
Training in the IVEY Leader Character Framework would be an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be considered.
