Description:
The role
As the Director, Partnerships your role is to develop, lead and coordinate strategic programs and projects using evidence-based practices to interpret and proactively respond to national, state, regional and local health policy, trends, and opportunities to facilitate health system transformation and improve health system outcomes for Queenslanders. The Director, Partnerships works in close collaboration with stakeholders from across the health system, with a focus on the primary care interface. Partners include Queensland Health, the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care, Primary Health Networks and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector, and other key primary and community care providers and consumers.
The successful person
Responsibilities:
- High level leadership management and mentoring of high performance multi-skilled teams.
- High level negotiation, consultation, influence, facilitation and written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and develop effective working partnerships with internal and external executive stakeholders.
- Policy development experience and/or experience delivering large and complex projects and programs.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and designing portfolio, program and project methods, tools and training to ensure effective governance, transparency, appropriate use of methods, maximisation of human and financial resources and high attention to financial controls and risk management.
