Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to senior leadership within the region and facilitate executive level and global discussions and outcomes.
  • Partner with HR colleagues to innovate, enhance and drive the effectiveness of enterprise wide People and Places programs within APAC
  • Build alignment with functional teams to assist regional leadership in adapting to processes and procedures
  • Represent the leadership voice of the People and Places organization across all of APAC at Zendesk. Bring the teams together as one cohesive and supportive People and Places team
  • Partner with colleagues outside of HR (e.g. Legal, Finance) to ensure alignment and teamwork in achieving HR and their functional objectives.
  • Work hand in hand with our HR COEs to advise and guide your peers who own these to ensure they are appropriate for the region
  • Lead change initiatives that will continue to evolve the work of the People and Places team locally
  • Travel to other APAC locations will be required from time to time.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, IT IS ESSENTIAL YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ALL OF THE FOLLOWING…

  • A proven track record of success, working as a true business partner at a Director level or senior manager level
  • Ideally you will have operated in a Head of HR role within a smaller organization with a regional remit
  • Ability to influence, partner and coach across a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to think globally and look across various functions as it relates to change management and organizational evolution
  • Competent in advising on issues that have legal and people implications across region
  • Ability to solve complex problems across the region
  • Inventive and able to independently handle a high degree of change and ambiguity
  • Outstanding project management, presentation and communication skills.
  • A strong leader and developer of talent.
  • Previous experience in a multinational US headquartered organization through a period of transition and growing regional hubs would be an advantage but not a requirement.
