JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the AVP, Global HR Shared Services (HRSS), the Director, People Projects & Solutions, will lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives within our HR Shared Services function. This role will be responsible for overseeing HR projects that support mergers and acquisitions, workforce planning, operational compliance, risk management, vendor management, HR analytics, and overall HR operational strategy. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HR project management, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex, global initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in HR Shared Services, Operations, or a similar strategic function.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale projects, in workforce planning, M&A integration, or operational strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of operational compliance, risk management, and vendor management.
  • Expertise in analytics and experience leveraging data to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and navigate complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of HR technologies and tools, such as HRIS, workforce planning software, and data analytics platforms.
  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and drive HR strategic projects for HR Shared Services, including mergers and acquisitions, workforce planning, and HRSS automation transformation efforts.
  • HR Operational Analytics & Reporting: Accountable for the development and implementation of strategic analytical initiatives and research. Lead a team who will provide insights through data-driven HR analytics, enabling leadership to make informed decisions related to people operations and strategy.
  • Project and Program Management: Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Utilize best practices in change management and risk mitigation.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support: Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate people operations in M&A activities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Operational Compliance & Risk Management: Develop and implement frameworks to ensure HR operations complies with local and global regulations, reducing operational risks and enhancing process governance.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee the management of external vendors and service providers to optimize HR solutions, ensuring high-quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Workforce Planning & Analytics: Drive workforce planning initiatives and leverage HR data to support business strategy, workforce optimization, and decision-making.
  • Operational Strategy: Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and execute operational strategies that improve efficiency, enhance employee experience, and support long-term business goals.
