Description:
DETAILS
- Department: Pharmacy Services
- Schedule: Regular business hours and once a month to meet with weekend and Night shift staff
- Hospital: Ascension St. Agnes
- Location: Baltimore, MD
- Salary: $62.03-$102.37
Actual compensation offered will vary based on factors including applicable licenses, certifications, education, experience, location, qualifications and comparison with associates in similar roles.
REQUIREMENTS
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Pharmacy required
Work Experience:
- 5 years of experience required.
- 2 years of cumulative leadership or management experience required OR a graduate from an accredited Health System Pharmacy Administration residency program required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Leadership or Management experience
- MedTech experience
- Hospital, retail and 340B Pharmacy experience
- EMR conversion experience
- Great team player and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Direct pharmacy operations to ensure alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the department and organization.
- Direct the development and implementation of practices, policies and procedures in all functional areas of the department.
- Accountable for department staffing and capacity planning.
- Oversee the development, monitoring of and compliance with departmental budget(s).
- Utilize broad knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements to direct departmental operations and ensure accountability for the department’s compliance.
- Develop and maintain effective, collaborative relationships with all site leadership, specialties, department including other specialty managers, associates and related vendors.
- Implement specialty quality initiatives in the areas of patient safety, the Joint Commission, specialty accreditation, and performance improvement.
- Participate in the development and administration of both long-term and annual capital plan which include facilities, systems and equipment.
- Implement and monitor compliance with revenue integrity process.
