Description:

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The role of the Director, FPS Marketing-West is to build and maintain an overall high performing package sales organization that will effectively achieve business objectives: Sales Per Hour by hotel and Team Member, VPG by Distribution Center, Penetration of Hotel Arrivals, and manage vendor relationship to ensure HGV is always in good standing with the partner.

  • Create and implement effective FPS package sales strategies and lead West location-based sales teams (marketing operations staff) toward achievement of corporate sales objectives to reach their package sales targets and aligning goals of both team and partner to build a cohesive business relationship.
  • Develop competencies and processes required to create and grow an effective and efficient sales organization by developing team members sales skills, hiring performance driven team members, and ensuring accountability of the sales teams.
  • Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching, and development while comparing sales results to goals and ensuring performance management when necessary by conducting/overseeing monthly performance reviews of each team member.
  • Develop and implement marketing employee reward and recognition programs by coordinating initiatives with Sr Dom and/or VP.
  • Ensure high delivery of quality customer care culture with hotel partnerships by conducting monthly communication meetings to ensure that both HGV and the hotel partner are accomplishing goals in the partnership such as: Package Sales, Honors Sign Ups, SALT and postive Trip Advisor Comments.
  • Provide sales management, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning over department and make necessary changes to ensure goals are in line with department strategy.
  • Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of marketing sales reps in order to ensure that monthly/annual package sales targets are met and/or achieved.
  • Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.
  • Proactively identify changes in timeshare industry, hotel brand initiatives, and competitive environment to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly to drive a competitive work environment.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts by pro-actively meeting with hotel partners to determine business needs for staffing and communicate any sudden unexpected changes to the hotels’ arrivals based on mix.
  • Develop and implement tactical marketing plans to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Negotiate space and customer contact agreements with hotels/retail partners to better HGV’s footprint for marketing opportunities within the hotel/marketing locations.
  • Work with creative services to identify, establish and execute creative design for manned locations in keeping with professional presentation and brand standards
  • Collaborate, coordinate and implement arrival/departure contact strategies with corporate Direct Marketing to drive activation rate to tour for guests sold from the West Market.
  • Leverage Direct Marketing contact management technology, web, data assets, communication channels, IT support and data integration opportunities.
  • Identify hotel partners in market by establishing marketing proformas to determine POS growth plan. Open new marketing locations to grow FPS POS Market in Arizona, California and Nevada.
  • Establish effective relationships and collaborate with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities in order to resolve any internal challenges that directly impact the FPS Program in California.

Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies and building a team culture that builds brand alliance.
