Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing leadership, enterprise-aligned strategy, and management of the national prevention education program, Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe (CH SUBS) with a focus on technology, curriculum, community relations, marketing, and product & service delivery, with the goal of seizing new opportunities to serve more children.
The Directors responsibilities include but are not limited to creating and implementing growth strategies, presentations and engagement opportunities to potential customers, funders, and decision-makers, as well as legislators in support of program expansion and leading efforts to increase implementation rates, tracking leads, outcomes, and providing quotes and fulfilling orders.
This position may have 2-3 direct reports. This position is currently remote.
Leadership

Working in partnership with senior leadership, develops strategic alignment plan for CH SUBS that supports and executes upon the National Strategic Plan. With a focus on leadership, mission, vision, culture, strategy, best practices and continuous improvement, performs the following:

  • Leads and directs the planning, design, scoping, functional analysis, development, implementation, and support for
  • Marketing and Business Development
  • Curriculum Development and management
  • Technology (Learning Management Systems and Payment Systems)
  • Client Service and Support
  • Monitors current business demands to determine the functional sets necessary to support ongoing business operations and support current/future initiatives
  • Ensures that technical and quality standards are established, documented, maintained and enforced across each functional area and compliance with all federal, state, local, licensing, grants, and other applicable regulatory and/or program requirements to include audit readiness.
  • Leads and directs the programs resource planning and allocation for optimal capacity, utilization and performance.
  • Has Budget responsibilities include the development, implementation, and attainment of established outcomes.

Continuously keeps up on industry trends, direction, opportunities and applicability as it relates to Childhelp.
Ensures that programmatic components are enforced throughout the program, and compliance with all federal, state, local, and other applicable regulatory and/or program requirements to include audit readiness.
Supervisory

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Childhelps cultural values and performance principles, company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:

  • Actively participating in the interviewing and hiring processes and ensuring successful functional on-boarding of new employees
  • Planning, assigning and directing work for direct reports
  • Setting reasonable stretch performance goals, providing constructive, balanced, regular performance feedback & coaching, and conducting annual performance appraisals
  • Recognizing and rewarding performance excellence
  • Communicating and enforcing company policies and programs
  • Applying corrective action, addressing complaints and resolving problems in a timely fashion, involving and collaborating with leadership and Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Collaborating with direct reports on their professional development and growth.

Functional/Operational

Leads program business operations through a combination of productivity and accountability design, products and services to include:

  • Acting as a liaison with community, state, and national organizations striving to partner with other child abuse prevention organizations, including participation in presenting and attending meetings and conferences to maintain CH SUBS a prominent child abuse prevention education leader in the field
  • Track, analyze, and promote local and state legislation, regulation, and policy relevant to the mission and goals of program
  • Research and identify local, state, and federal grant opportunities in partnership with Grants team
  • Ensures effective service model is in place to optimally support clients to include a feedback/accountability mechanism, success measurements, and tracking/report on key metrics that drive program goals
  • Oversee the development and management of the order and customer setup process
  • Establish protocol and appropriate cadence for regular check-ins with districts to assess implementation needs and challenges and collect feedback during multiple touchpoints throughout the year
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and progress toward Key Performance Indicators
  • Coordinate and oversee program outreach activities targeting prospects with an initial regional focus on Florida and the Southeast while supporting outreach activities nationwide as needed. Outreach activities include implementation, and coordination of outreach efforts, as well as measuring their impact.
  • Create and maintain current and relevant outreach presentations (including statistics) based on current research and information. Identify conference and presentation opportunities for facilitator trainings and SME presentations.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Ensure quality standards are consistently met and that practices and protocols are continuously evolving to meet the changing needs of customers by remaining current and on all laws, regulations, polices, protocols, and practices surrounding physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, child abuse, neglect, and legal reporting requirements; and apply knowledge to the work in accordance with quality standards:

  • Ensures integrity and continuous improvement and enhancement of the curriculum (deliverables)
  • Reviews reports, analysis, and trends and facilitates the process of translating data to continuous improvement needs
  • Ensure audit readiness to successfully engage in and pass monthly/quarterly/annual audits
  • Stays abreast of current laws, rules, best practices through regular engagement self-directed research; subscriptions to regulatory, legal and industry newsletters and briefs; membership of industry associations and attendance at meetings/events; and/or participating in training and other continuing education opportunities
  • Attends leadership meetings, runs management/staff meetings and completes all required trainings
  • Maintain current professional certifications
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience, Knowledge/Understanding

  • Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience or a Masters degree (M.A.) and four (4) years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in outreach or relationship management, customer education, customer marketing, product service and support, curriculum design, product marketing and business development.
  • Understanding of local and state governments and/or public-school structures.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills to effectively communicate with various stakeholders inside and outside of the organization.

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver presentations to potential donors, customers, partners and a variety of stakeholders.

  • Proficient in the use of a PC in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, PowerPoint; Learning Management Systems; and Sales Tools.

  • Ability to understand and solve problems by applying intermediate analytical skills to include collecting all the relevant information and data needed to address the problem; organizing, classifying and synthesizing the data into fundamental issues; from the information, identifying the most probable causes of the problem; reducing the information down into manageable components; identifying the logical outcomes from the analyses of the data collected; and identifying the options and solutions for addressing the problems analyzed.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Physical Demands
