KNOWLEDGE:
- Possesses extensive domain knowledge in technical writing, documentation management, and the software industry.
- Good understanding of documentation strategies with experience leading numerous successful initiatives to maintain high-quality documentation for complex software products.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive grasp of the competitive landscape and industry standards, and leveraging this knowledge to ensure our documentation remains cutting-edge and provides a strategic advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Leads a growing team of technical writers to deliver best-in-class documentation for all our products
- Works closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Developer Advocacy teams to improve and innovate on the way we develop and deliver technical contents to developers and architects
- Drives transformation towards an innovative digital experience (e.g., in-product content, contextual help, optimized search, and proactive suggestions)
- Collaborates with all content delivery teams across Couchbase to create a shared set of content standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degrees in technical writing, computer science, or a related field with at least 10+ years of experience in managing product documentation team
- Deep experience with technical writing practices for enterprise software products
- Proven track record on delivering best-in-class product documentation for enterprise infrastructure software technologies, preferably with a focus on databases or database management software development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic and operational initiatives and deliver in a timely and predictive manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with remote teams
