  • Completion of the proposed separation of Kidney Care from Baxter into a standalone company (to be named Vantive) remains subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or another related field
  • 10 years or more of relevant experience, with at least 5 of these years spent in project management and/or product lifecycle management experience (with a preference for candidates who have experience within the Digital Health space)
  • 3 years or more of management experience leading a team of direct report(s)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree
  • PMI or IPMA, PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Agile or Scrum certification or experience
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory or Clinical Practices and Product Development Process requirement
  • Prior experience with cloud, mobile applications in the Healthcare space
  • Experience with projects that leveraged Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure
  • Strong strategic thinking skills to co-develop and execute to a comprehensive digital health release delivery roadmap
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make insightful decisions based on solution-based thinking
  • A track record of developing/leading/managing innovative digital products/services with demonstrated success
  • Experience managing design& development teams
  • Medical device, multi-site / global, enterprise-wide industry experience

The estimated base salary for this position is $184,000 - $276,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive . Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE AT BAXTER:

The Director, Program Management Research & Development - Digital Health provides business and project leadership for major, high-complexity programs and portfolios of programs. The Director of Program Management interacts with and influences senior internal and external stakeholders, will make project commitments to businesses and will manage stakeholder expectations. The Director of Program Management will serve as champion of project and portfolio governance recognizing how project results impact the overall success of the organization. The Director of Program Management will develop core team and project management capabilities across the organization. This role will have a specific focus on our Digital Health ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure projects within the portfolio are appropriately planned according to latest best practices to deliver on the business commitments
  • Effectively communicate program/portfolio status, issues, risks, etc. and overall impact to project business case
  • Support project leaders in defining effective mechanisms to track status, risks and spending of a portfolio / project. Share best practices.
  • Continuously review project/program/portfolio status, proactively identify and communicate risks and issues and collaboratively develop and drive mitigation efforts
  • Accountable for performance, execution and effectiveness of the organization across the portfolio. Measure effectiveness of the organization and develop plans to improve capability and effectiveness.
  • Lead effectively in a collaborative climate across businesses and functions, including external partners as applicable, to achieve organizational goals in a matrixed environment. Develop and leverage partnerships effectively across the globe with cross functional teams.
  • Identify and champion actions to simplify the complex with respect to people, process and tools
  • Develop and implement best practices for project risk management. Ensure proper prioritization and management of cross-functional risks for assigned program/portfolio.
  • Build an organization structure of project leaders that ensures clear accountability and operational excellence for the assigned portfolio. Accountable for performance, execution and effectiveness of the organization across the portfolio.
  • Build motivated high-performing teams. Create and foster an environment where mentoring, coaching, career growth, and employee development are critical focus areas.
  • Apply knowledge of healthcare product lifecycle management to effectively drive all phases of product development and sustainability with high quality and predictability of timeline and budget. Proficient at forecasting and tracking project resources, budget, and capital demand across assigned portfolios.
  • Embrace agile ways of working in support of a fail-fast-learn-fast culture and enabling continual improvement
