About the Role
This is an integral customer facing origination position, which plays a key role in driving growth in the Institutional Property & Health Group (IPH) and Corporate Banking portfolio for WA. This role will also contribute to ANZ’s purpose and strategy with a strong focus on sustainability solutions.

What will your day look like?

Responsibilities:

Direct client management as well as providing coaching for the team
Developing and executing on relationship banking strategic plans and working closely with interstate and offshore teams where appropriate
Building a profile across ANZ network to ensure smooth client management
Leveraging your external network to source and review quality new to bank opportunities
Structuring and negotiating complex transactions. Work closely with the team including State Directors, analyst function and credit risk executives
Consistently making sound, high quality credit recommendations, based on thorough research and analysis, and disciplined application of Business Writing Strategy/ Risk Appetite Statement and Credit Policies
Apply in-depth financing knowledge and broad product knowledge to optimise risk/ return parameters for the bank
Actively engage in building relationships with Product Partners, Risk, Sustainability, and other key stakeholders within Institutional Banking and across the Bank
Demonstrating leadership in ensuring team wellbeing and engagement and making a positive contribution to team culture
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Proven industry expertise and networks, with a customer and commercially driven mindset
In depth knowledge of Institutional Banking products, risk management and complex financing structures, particularly for Property and Corporate clients
Demonstrated ability to structure/ tailor value added innovative financial solutions
Strong business development and origination skills
Proven performer with broad relationship management experience with a focus on the corporate/ institutional market
Excellent client handling, interpersonal and negotiating skills
Experience leading and managing teams would be viewed favorably
Tertiary qualifications preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics.
