JOB DESCRIPTION
Position title: Director, Quality
JOB SUMMARY
- Leads the Quality organization at Bausch Health Laval and is directly responsible for the quality and CGMP compliance of the site in partnership with site leadership.
- Provides Quality leadership to the Canadian Commercial Quality organization (Affiliate/Distribution) ensuring that products commercialized in the Canadian market, meet the requirements for Canadian market distribution and commercialization.
- Provides Quality leadership to the Canadian Bausch External Manufacturing QA (EMQA) team, ensuring supply continuity of products manufactured for Bausch Health through a network of external contract manufacturers.
- Drives the continuous improvement of the site’s Quality Management system in order to attain and sustain effectiveness, efficiency and compliance of the operations.
C) SPECIAL EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Minimum10 to 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience essential in quality control, quality assurance, production of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, pharmaceutical development.
Excellent knowledge of Canadian and international GMP standards (FDA, EMA, WHO)
Minimum 10 years of management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provides the strategic vision and leadership in all aspects of Quality Operations which include the dimensions of Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Compliance and Quality Control.
- Actively manages the development and implementation of robust and compliant, end-to-end quality processes that ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Institutes a culture of performance, continuous improvement and quality throughout the organization and develops applicable metrics to monitor performance and effectiveness of the operations
- Provides leadership to day-to-day activities of product disposition, non-conformance management, OOS investigations and escalations, product quality complaints, change control management, etc.
- Responsible for the supplier quality management and release activities for externally manufactured products.
- Provides quality compliance expertise and support for R&D and Product Transfer projects (in and out)
- Importer of record and MAH for marketed products in Canada
- Host for regulatory inspections and customer audits
- Anticipates and ensures compliance according to changes in regulations.
