Requirements

  • Broad experience building and deploying regression and time-series models
  • Deep expertise in Python, PySpark and SQL
  • 5 or more years of work experience required working in a data-centric business environment
  • Strong consultative communication skills diagnosing data to develop successful growth strategies with internal clients
  • Proven comfort and an intellectual curiosity for working with large sets of data, pulling in relevant team members to address identified and sometimes undiscovered needs for clients
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas, and develop them from your concept to a solution
  • Demonstrated ability to use software to manipulate data, prototype new tools, and extract actionable insights from that data
  • Capable of presenting outcomes of analytic solutions in a format easily understood by a non-technical audienc

Responsibilities:

You will drive organizational change and profitability using business acumen coupled with proficiency across data and analytics. You will act as an integrator and manage the end-to-end analytics of our proprietary approach to revenue optimization as well as identifying sources of value from big data and generating data driven insights to create value in our market.

  • Data: You should be comfortable with and capable of accessing, transforming, and staging large data sets with performant and scalable PySpark queries to test and evaluate new models, as well as effectively handing off data requirements to the data engineering team once a project moves towards production.
  • Analytics: This role will drive analytical thought process and will have ownership of the analytical processes, developments, and transformation of new and legacy algorithms. The ideal candidate will have extensive and hands on experience in data querying, analytical programming, statistical programming, and regularization. Experience in building end-to-end analytical solutions including creating hypothesis, data gathering, data enrichment, data management, data analysis, algorithm building, insights reporting, scalability and automation. Hands on experience in deploying machine learning models, regressors, and/or econometric models in a scalable environment.
  • Advisory leadership: Combine the views of subject matter expert and data engineers/scientists to drive insights to action and align stakeholders around the solution. You will ideally develop a peer-like counsellor relationship to business leaders.
  • Business acumen: Develop or have deep industry expertise (Consumer Package Goods and/or Food and Beverage). You will be expected to understand current state of analytics more broadly and able to apply techniques from across industries.
