INTECON, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to directly support the AFWERX Director and Director’s Staff. This role provides high-level administrative support, ensuring seamless operations for executive leadership. The selected candidate will be responsible for research, report preparation, meeting coordination, visitor management, and administrative oversight while also training and supervising lower-level Administrative Specialists.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of executive-level administrative support experience, preferably within DoD, Air Force, or federal organizations.
- Experience managing high-profile executive schedules, conference planning, and visitor coordination.
- Proven ability to conduct research, compile statistical reports, and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to draft official correspondence, reports, and executive briefings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with protocols for classified meetings, executive engagements, and DoD administrative procedures.
- Ability to supervise and train junior administrative personnel, ensuring standardized operational procedures.
- Experience in event coordination, logistics planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:
The Executive Assistant will:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the AFWERX Director and Director’s Staff, ensuring efficient daily operations.
- Conduct research, prepare statistical reports, and handle confidential information requests.
- Manage and prepare official correspondence, briefings, and executive reports.
- Coordinate executive meetings, arrange conference calls, and manage schedules for senior leadership.
- Facilitate visitor reception and intake, ensuring compliance with access control policies.
- Organize travel arrangements, logistics, and itinerary management for AFWERX leadership.
- Prepare presentations, talking points, and decision briefings for the Director’s engagements.
- Supervise and train lower-level Administrative Specialists, ensuring consistency in administrative practices.
- Support event planning and logistics for high-profile AFWERX initiatives and stakeholder meetings.
- Maintain electronic and physical records, ensuring compliance with federal documentation standards.
- Serve as a liaison between the AFWERX leadership team, internal divisions, and external stakeholders.
- Assist with policy development, procedural improvements, and strategic planning initiatives.
