Growing entrepreneurial beverage client is hiring for a Director Sales National Accounts for Food & Mass. The Director Sales is a fully remote role responsible for beverage retail business success in the Food & Mass Channels. The Sales Director builds, owns, and executes annual sales plans that deliver maximum year-over-year positive impact to the company. They execute the launch of new products and increasing sales of existing products in assigned territory with retailers, brokers, and distributors with key emphasis in the Food & Mass channel (i.e., Target, Walmart, Ahold Delhaize, Publix). They manage the business at both distributor and retail levels in collaboration with broker sales teams and through direct interaction with accounts. This job requires generating sales growth both in existing accounts and in new retailers and distributors.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • 8+ years of experience; minimum 5+ years’ experience calling-on grocery retailers and distributors in multiple classes of trade or channels
  • Ability to build and execute on a clear sales plan
  • Strong grocery category sales experience, comfort using and analyzing syndicated data
  • Able to drive growth through both incremental sales in existing customer base (end-users, distributors, manufacturers) as well as gain new business
  • Must be able to travel up to 33%

Responsibilities:

  • Build annual sales plan in the Food & Mass Channel, increasing sales to exceed targets year-over-year
  • Own key relationships and present to buyers, seeking HQ opportunities within assigned accounts and channels
  • Manage performance of broker sales teams and conduct monthly team meetings around goal attainment and specific target progress
  • Manage the launch of product innovation into specific channels as assigned
  • Create annual, quarterly, monthly promotion plans at both distributor and retail levels and report on trade spending to ensure budget compliance and efficient, positive impact
  • Champion flawless in-store execution through collaboration with brokers and merchandising team(s), and regularly schedules store/merchandising visits
  • Outline impactful in-store marketing opportunities and collaborate with the marketing team to plan, budget, execute, and report on performance
  • Review and analyze market data, such as SPINS, to determine gap potential and opportunities for sales and marketing team collaboration to achieve company sales goals
  • Lead National beverage business with UNFI, collaborate with conventional sales leaders across all warehouses
