In Vattenfall, security and resilience is a top priority. The Corporate Security & Resilience function (CS&R) is a modern, flexible, and agile security function that works risk based and holistic, responsible for leading all security and resilience areas in Vattenfall.
In this very senior and global role, you will head a unit of talented colleagues with a true ambition to be a benchmark business-oriented security organisation. Together with your team, you will develop and establish processes and methodologies, drive change management, security & resilience architecture and governance on Vattenfall Group level. You will also advice top management on the situational picture, emerging security risks, the strategic roadmap and risk mitigation activities.
You will contribute to the development of the Vattenfall Group strategy to ensure that security and resilience related dimensions are captured, reflected and incorporated. You will also have the privilege to be a part on Vattenfall’s path to enable fossil freedom.
The Director Security & Resilience is a member of the CS&R Management Team and reports directly to Vattenfall´s Chief Security Officer (CSO).

Main tasks

  • Lead a team of dedicated colleagues and consultants to develop, maintain and implement a state-of-the-art security governance, effective security and resilience risk management and security awareness, communication and education throughout Vattenfall group.
  • Support and drive the group-wide security strategy and lead the wider functional security team in Vattenfall Group.
  • Continuously monitor and measure compliance of the Group Security Management System (SMS), drive improvements in efficiency and quality of the overall security and resilience portfolio.
  • Continuously monitor, assess and translate regulatory security requirements into Group Security Management System (SMS) to ensure implementation.
  • As a member of the CS&R Management team, and the Security Council; the Director Security & Resilience provides input and is part of the highest decision body in defining and developing the Group Security & Resilience strategy.
  • Lead and mentor educational and awareness programs.
  • Drive and support group-wide initiatives and projects.
  • Ensure governance of group-wide Duty of Care.
  • Be up-to date with industry best practice, supplier capabilities, academic frameworks and relevant authorities to sustain a state-of-the-art and highly innovative security programme.

Areas of responsibility
Personnel Security, Physical Security, Resilience, Business Continuity Management, Incident Management, Crisis Management and Civil Defence. Project Security, Event Security, Executive Security, Travel Security, Security in Supplier Relationships.

YOUR PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Academic degree or similar experience in a security and resilience relevant area.
  • Solid experience in a security role and a prior experience in a leadership position, preferably from multinational company.
  • Relevant security certifications.
  • Good knowledge of existing national and EU related security regulations.
  • Solid knowledge of EU authorities’ working methods and requirements for the energy industry.
  • Fluency in our group language English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience from the energy business and/or larger global industrial company is a plus.
    You are a true leader as well as a driven and curious person who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are furthermore well-articulated and persuasive and can communicate security & resilience related concepts to a broad range of people, both internally and externally. You have strong analytical skills and willingness to take ownership with a positive attitude. Furthermore, you have a keen sense of team effort and the ability to build effective teams and maintain social relations. Stakeholder management is one of your key skills. A high integrity, security, and privacy awareness together with the ability to handle stress well and to deliver result in challenging circumstances are required.
