QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Minimum of four year degree in an environmental, industrial hygiene, safety or health related science, or minimum of 10 years progressive experience in a healthcare safety position.
• Minimum of five years experience in healthcare safety.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possession of a valid New Jersey Driver s License with eligibility to be covered by RWJBH insurance carrier.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently across a highly matrixed organization.
• Must be results/goal oriented, decision maker and strategic planner with critical thinking capabilities.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, education in Corporate Security, National Security, Criminal Justice, Law, Business Management, Crisis Management, Emergency Management, Intelligence, Military, or related fields are preferred.
• Certification as a Healthcare Safety Professional preferred.
• Ability to acquire certification for de-escalation training within ninety (90) days of hire.
• Previous experience in collecting, analyzing and reporting quality data.
• Previous experience in a behavioral health setting helpful.
• Demonstrated experience in managing intelligence and investigative programs.
• Threat and Risk Assessment experience is preferred.
• Ability to brief at all levels of the company, including senior leadership and affiliate administrative leadership.
• Experience in the management of security budgets, including cost benefit analysis.
• Ability to assess and manage external security and intelligence vendors.
• Experience partnering with local, state, and federal law enforcement.

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS

• 7:00am 3:30pm
• Full Time

• Experience with Critical Thinking in Emergency Response Situations.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Preferred Security Certification(s), including from ASIS International or IAHSS.
• Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including excel, point, word, and virtual meeting and communication tools.
• Hospital Vulnerability Assessment and Security Risk Assessment experience is preferred.
• Can possess a valid State of New Jersey Permit to Carry a Handgun, but not required.
• Ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Significant collaboration capabilities, including experience working with Human Resources, Security, IT, Communications, and other critical internal stakeholders.
• Change management and people leadership skills.
• Personal and professional standards of integrity and compassion.
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Incident / Logging / Dispatching / Case Management Software.
