Description:
- Lead, manage and direct the operation of Queensland’s specialist courts and programs including staff, budget, and contracts for service provision, maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of CIP programs.- Lead a high-performance team to develop and deliver a program of work, including managing workloads, professional development, and performance appraisal and feedback, which supports a culture of continuous improvement.- Work collaboratively with the Policy, Research and Evaluation team to ensure the quality of program evaluations, implementation of evaluation recommendations, as well as ongoing program development opportunities that support the delivery of outcomes and innovation.- Provide strategic advice relating to the operation of Queensland specialist courts and programs to the Senior Director (CIP) and as required across MCS, including key strategic risks and opportunities and contributing to strategic and operational planning.- Contribute to the development of strategic policy related to specialist courts and programs.- Oversee the development of operational procedures and training packages to ensure specialist courts and programs operate in accordance with relevant legislation, Government policy, court operational policy and are consistent with best practice in criminal justice interventions.- Foster, manage and maintain collaborative working relationships with magistrates, partner agencies, court staff, community organisations, service providers and other key stakeholders to implement solutions and achieve program objectives, including putting in place effective change management strategies, developing appropriate governance structures, and engaging in the active promotion of current court programs.- Prepare submissions, briefs, memorandums, and briefing notes and provide high level advice and support as required.- Represent CIP on senior level working groups, steering committees, inter-departmental and inter-agency meetings and forums and undertake other duties as directed by the Senior Director (CIP).This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
