As director, Strategy, Analytics & Insights you will lead three discreet portfolios of work – Business unit Strategy & Rhythm of the Business (RoTB), Innovation & Store Equipment, and Analytics & Insights. In this highly cross-functional role you will work across all Canada support teams and select U.S. support teams to establish team focus and priorities, considering & responding to the on-going needs of the Canada business and latest Enterprise context. The ultimate portfolio objective is to create both direct and secondary Brand, Employer & Business equity growth in collaboration with others.

As director, Strategy, Analytics & Insights you will create value in the following areas:

  • Foster a team environment focused on Organizational Talent development & Career growth by building partner capability through situational leadership and coaching, proactively identifying future and partner team needs in readiness to support organizational success and support the progression of high potential talent through meaningful career planning & coaching.
  • Create Strategic clarity, connectivity & control through defining and driving integrated, multi-year Strategic planning. As part of this work, you will help to drive integration of strategic outcomes & initiatives to financial objectives, while ensuring connectivity to overall Enterprise goals and process.
  • Generate on-going Brand, Employer & Business equity growth through direct portfolio leadership of Strategic Equipment and related multi-year strategic roadmap and full lifecycle portfolio management (Define/Develop/Deliver), and secondary support (strategic facilitation, etc.) for highest priority and most complex domestic Innovation Opportunities.
  • Foster and lead Data & insight driven thinking & planning through leadership of both Market research and Applied analytics portfolio for the Customer & Store domains. You will work in close partnership with Canada PMO and Store Development teams, as well as the Enterprise DAIBO organization to deliver portfolio goals.
  • Support Organizational capability by growing partner analytical, strategic & innovation acumen via ongoing consultation, leading innovation within cross-functional teams and meaningfully democratizing and embedding customer insights.

Business Requirements – directs program plan development and manages process transformation and gains executive support and alignment for prioritization of those opportunities.

  • Identifies risks and issues impacting successful deployment and works with program team to develop resolution.
  • Serves as the business advocate to the program, identifies and articulates business requirements and prioritizes requirements for scope definition

Responsibilities:

Leadership – setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability and modeling for we work together.

  • Ensures stakeholders are informed and engaged and is accountable for all stakeholder engagement activities and communication delivery.
  • Leads and influences across functions, regions, cultures, and program leadership to align the organization for successful deployment of large-scale initiatives.

Planning and Execution – developing strategic and operation plans for the work group, managing execution and measuring results:

  • Develops strategic vision for business area and provides key inputs and collaborates within functional or business leaders to develop short – and long-term operating plans.
  • Prepares the organization for deployment and ensures that all business, organization, and systems readiness activities are completed on time. Drives pre-deployment behavioural changes.
  • Works with functional and deployment leads to implement communications, change management, training, partner care and deployment activities.
